Job Title : AIX Admin (Global SME) Work Location : Bangalore, India Duration : 12 Months Experience : 10+ years Minimum 10 years of AIX Administration experience 10 years of overall IT experience Ability to manager team of 10 people Technical knowledge in the latest version of AIX, PowerHA and Power systems features including Power systems virtualisation , PowerHA clustering Soft Skills Good Communication, Leadership, Problem Solving and Root Cause analysis skills Job Requirements Installing, configuring and maintaining AIX Servers. Strong in Power 5/Series configuration, LPAR, VPAR, DLPAR, VIO concepts and implementation. Configuration and administration of Logical volume manager. Strong in Storage, HA concepts, SAN environment Changing Kernel Parameters Patch and Package administration Printer, NIS, NFS, Samba administration. Strong in troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issue. Strong knowledge in Configuration and administration of VERITAS Volume Manager VERITAS File system. VERITAS Cluster Server Writing shell/Perl scripts to accomplish day to day system administration task Experience in System Fault Tolerance Design, Business continuity and Disaster recovery planning. Certification on AIX (IBM System Administration, Hardware, Performance Tuning, Network Administration). VxVM/VCS Certification is a plus. Responsibilities. Training + Mentoring + Hiring + Leading + later stage Help team in day to day task assign to his group.
