Job Description:

As the Café Manager at Big Little Things, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the café, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a positive and efficient working environment. You will manage staff, handle inventory, ensure quality control, and drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee daily café operations, including customer service, staff coordination, and kitchen activities.
  • Hire, train, and supervise café staff, providing ongoing support and development.
  • Maintain inventory, order supplies, and ensure stock levels meet café demand.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the café, meeting health and safety standards.
  • Track and manage financials, including budgets, expenses, and revenue, ensuring profitability.
  • Implement promotional and marketing strategies to increase footfall and revenue.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor and enforce café policies and procedures, ensuring all operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Café Manager, Restaurant Manager, or similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of café or restaurant operations, including food safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in POS systems, scheduling software, and basic financial management.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
