Company Description
Huf Hülsbeck & Fürst develops and produces mechanical and electronic digital key systems, lock sets, steering locks, remote control systems, telematic and tire pressure monitoring systems for the automotive industry. Founded in 1908 in Velbert, the company first supplied lock sets to Mercedes Benz (now Daimler AG) in 1920.
Today, Huf has approx. 10,000 employees located in 14 countries worldwide. Qualified designers, engineers and software developers in Europe, America and Asia are engaged in research and development.
Huf was the first company to develop components for the new car access and immobilization systems "Passive Entry" and "Keyless Go", as well as the "Kick Sensor".
Innovative by tradition, Huf is ranked among the top 20 most innovative companies in Germany according to a study published by “Handelsblatt”. Criteria for the ranking was the number of patents as well as the ability to combine digital innovations with established technologies, delivering new solutions in future-oriented fields like connected mobility.
