Simhapuri Energy Limited (SEL), incorporated on December 2, 2005, with the main objective to Construct, Operate and maintain Thermal Power Plants.SEL is an SPV Promoted by Madhucon Infra Limited(MIL) and N.S.Associates. SEL is envisaging the development of a coal-based thermal power project of the ultimate capacity of 1920 MW in Three Phases at Tamminapatnam and Mommidi Villages, Chillakur Mandal, SPSR Nellore District of Andhra Pradesh. Phase-I (2 x 150MW) Commissioned, Phase-II (2 x 150MW) shall be commissioned in 2012 and Phase-III (2X660 MW) are planned. The implementation of the project has already started. SEL is the first Private Sector Power Project obtained all clearance in the krishnapatnum port area well ahead of the other power projects that are proposed to be set up in the krishnapatanam area.
