Role Summary/ Purpose: This job will entail getting/ understanding product requirements, planning and executing the design, development & validation for Control Algorithm for Renewables domain for Wind & Solar domain, in a global matrix- ed organization. Candidate should have willingness to work with Flexible working hours to facilitate communication with offshore team members & travel as required. Essential Responsibilities: The control engineer is responsible for - Design and development of control system software based on the design memo / engineering change request for Mark VIe ESS platform using advanced control system techniques for GE wind turbine generators with high quality - Create tests cases and validate control code in SIL / PIL / HITL and Turbine at field - Resolve any issues thereof & maintain/ upgrade the Test Setup and accessories. - Assist in effort estimation, planning and execution of for various product releases for NPI (New Product Introduction) and regular control software upgrade releases, mainly for GE MarkVIe platform - Adhere to QMS process laid down and propose timely improvements to QMS - Prepare and present design & validation results for review to principal engineer & NPI tollgate reviews with chief engineers - Demonstrate strong FTY/ OTD and strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills Salary: Not Disclosed by Recruiter Industry: Banking / Financial Services / Broking Functional Area: Engineering Design , R&D Role Category:Engineering Design Role:Design Engineer Desired Candidate Profile Education- UG: B.Tech/B.E. PG:Post Graduation Not Required Doctorate:Any Doctorate - Any Specialization, Doctorate Not Required Qualifications/ Requirements: - Masters / Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical/ Controls/ Electronics Engineering, with good academic track - Over all experience of 2 - 3 years, with minimum 1 yr in control systems application software development for wind turbine or rotary machines and field issue resolution. - Hands- on experience with Matlab & Simulink (with state flow) development for at least 2 years. Software deployment at field, performing validation and field issue resolution - Strong in linear & non - linear control system fundamentals - Conversant with software release management and configuration management software tools is must - Experience in full control software development life cycle (scoping, feasibility, execution, production establishment) - Travel required within India and to other Global sites 10% max per year - Strong Multi- Tasking and proactive and open approach to conflict resolution - Good analytical, learning skills, strong in oral, written communication and strong interpersonal skills are must Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Desired Characteristics: - Hands- on experience with GE Mark VIe series controller for atleast 1 Year & PLC/ DCS systems and application development in GE Toolbox ST - Experience in full control software development life cycle (scoping, feasibility, execution, production establishment) - DFSS Green belt certified (GE Employee only) - Operation knowledge of Wind turbine generators - Working experience with global teams
