Role Summary/Purpose Global PLM System Architect will own and manage PLM (Product Life-Cycle Management) IT Infrastructure for GE OG Windchill instances that includes hardware servers, Storage, Network in GE datacenters and 3rd party Cloud. In this role, you will be working very closely with GE GO-IT & GE OG CTO teams and various platform technology owners and solution architects. Essential Responsibilities In the role of Global PLM System Architect, you will: Own & drive Infrastructure architecture strategy, design and capacity planning for PLM platforms (e.g. Windchill) implementation across GE OG Define architecture and infrastructure designs for PLM implementation & integrations with upstream and downstream technologies and applications Lead PLM instances \ environment build activities in GE datacenters and external clouds, own end-to-end project delivery Proactively work with subject matter experts to design, implement and manage PLM technology stack Manage relationship with GE GOCT\ CTO teams for infrastructure delivery, escalations and issue management Participate in datacenter strategy / consolidation efforts; and lead from GE OG Engineering IT related projects Apply advanced technical knowledge / skills in developing architectural solutions where complexity, innovation and technical expertise are required Partner with leaders across Corporate IT to implement future technology strategy in compute solutions and PLM infrastructure to deliver cost, cycle time, and maintainability benefits Drive Server & Client virtualization strategy for PLM infrastructure Deliver quality improvements and root-cause analysis to achieve high performance and high available PLM infrastructure Salary: Not Disclosed by Recruiter Industry: Oil and Gas / Energy / Power / Infrastructure Functional Area: IT Software - Network Administration , Security Role Category:Programming & Design Role:Technical Architect Keyskills Design Networking Data Center IT Infrastructure Project Delivery Capacity Planning PLM System Architect Desired Candidate Profile Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited college or universityMinimum 10 years of experience in PLM infrastructureAdditional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
