Role Summary/ Purpose: The selected candidate would be responsible for development and maintenance of software solutions, which automate the engineering process of customizing GE Powers Control System products for specific orders. As new Control System products are developed, existing solutions are modified to accommodate the new products, and new solutions may be developed as well. These highly distributed solutions are developed on varied technologies primarily on Microsoft .NET & Java development stacks. Essential Responsibilities: - Develop software solution concepts and implement designs for reducing customization cycle time and product variation of GE Powers Control System products. - Actively work with global fulfillment engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams to gather requirements for software solutions. - Lead implementation of new applications for customers. - Prepare software documentation in adherence to internal quality process - Interact with global software development team members. - Own and manage multiple projects. - Manage existing legacy solutions to add new features as required. - Provide metrics on performance to management.
