Job Description : Leads marketing program discussions with the client. Proactively consulting with client and providing recommendations regarding project needs to ensure successful outcomes and the solution achieves the value expected. Responsible for defining marketing program objectives and working with team to develop overall project plan to meet objectives Identifies any high-risk areas for the project and ensures timely and collaborative resolution of issues. Ensures that change orders are effectively and responsibly managed. Set expectations and lead project meetings with the client to review project milestones and progress, risks/issues, as well as current/projected spend, change orders, etc. Ensure program requirements are achieved, balancing both the needs of the client and overall impact to Cequity. Fosters an active partnership with Client Relationship Leader ensuring updates regarding key project initiatives and changes in defined scope of services are communicated and achieved. Expands scope of services and revenue as a natural byproduct of proactively responding to client needs and meeting delivery expectations. Financial Management Manages contract negotiations as part of leading project or in partnership with the Client Relationship Leader (when applicable) to ensure profitability Validates the final scope, timeline and resourcing, solution delivery responsibility, and overall P&L for client projects, ultimately assuring that the work can be completed as planned. Participates in pre-contract sales process as applicable. Manage and influences project financials to ensure projects achieve financial performance targets, including forecasting project revenue, profitability and time billed to project, adjusting as needed. Proactively communicates and accounts for scope adjustments and financial issues in forecasting and planning discussions. Ensuring internal and external communication to Cequity team and client. Resource and Team Management Hiring, growing and developing core marketing program management team capable of meeting program requirements and achieving strong client results and high quality project deliverables. Negotiates with business unit leaders to assemble the right support team and participate in recruiting process for project resources (strategy, analytics, creative, data, print production) Assures effective and timely communications keeping team members fully apprised of progress, work issues and changes Evaluates performance of client project team against project objectives and good corporate citizenship. Coordinates this feedback with employees' direct managers Assures high engagement and proper utilisation of project team maintaining low staff turnover across the engagement Required Experience 8-10 years of client services/account management in a direct marketing agency or a combination of agency/client side. Client side experience must include a leadership role. Experience managing large, complex, multi-million dollar accounts with strategy, analytics and creative components 6-8 years experience working with direct marketing programs in the financial services field across multiple lines of business Strong experience managing the financial aspects of a book of business including forecasting revenue, costs, profit margins, invoicing, reporting your financials to company executives, etc. Should be financially disciplined and feel at home working on Excel spreadsheets. Responsible for profit and loss on an account.
