Role Summary/ Purpose: Systems IQ Engineer is responsible to deliver the next generation image processing algorithms for CT systems. This role requires a strong understanding of CT imaging, Image Processing and clinical applications. This position has design responsibility to deliver customer workflow, feature functionality, product quality, reliability, serviceability, manufacturability, regulatory, compliance, and cost. Essential Responsibilities: Activities include requirements development, traceability and requirements flow down, architecture / system design and analysis, FMEA, developing/ executing System Verification and Validation test procedures, and providing support to manufacturing and field issues. Play pivotal role between all the system owners. Duties include (but are not limited to) : The System Image Quality Engineer is responsible for research and development for new and existing imaging products in the GE Healthcare MICT product line. Work with cross- functional and global teams to determine requirements and enhance the current product capabilities. Delivering and incorporating feedback results into new hardware, software and service specifications Providing domain expertise to serve as the main integrator between the hardware and software functions to deliver the world class quality product Developing methods to quantify subsystem interactions and their effects on image quality Deliver system- level designs and requirements and collaborate with sub- system and component groups to deliver an effective solution Responsible for supporting technology development of new features, algorithms and functionality on the technology roadmap and to realize the designs on product programs. Developing methods to quantify subsystem interactions and their effects on image quality Support requirements traceability, design process and system verification activities Collaborate with clinical partners to evaluate new features and technologies. Working with customers, marketing and field personnel to refine requirements Develop technical publications and presentations in scientific and commercial settings. Verifying product reliability performance Responsibility for risk management assessment and planning Providing guidance and requirements to new product development teams in order to improve quality of new releases Compiling site feedback and leading the corrective and preventative action process. Supporting the investigation and resolution of product complaints and customer escalations. As a member of the Control Change Board, assessing service impact of engineering change requests, authoring and releasing technical announcements as needed.
